| Chery, founded in 1997, is China´s largest and fastest-growing automaker in China. The results that Chery has achieved since its first model left the production line in 1999 speak for themselves. In 2007, the Chinese manufacturer had already reached the production milestone of one million vehicles. Its steady rhythm reached a production peak of 356,000 vehicles solely in the year 2008. At present, Chery has nine manufacturing plants in five continents and expects to dispose of 15 CKD assembly plants around the world. SKBergé launched the Chery brand in Chile and Peru in 2007, achieving in a short period of time the status of the first Chinese brand in car sales in both countries. Chery’s brand representation has so far been a great success not only in sales but also in terms of recognition since SKBergé was awarded by Chery´s Headquarter Office as the Best Worldwide Distributor in 2007. In 2009, thanks to its brand performance and enhancement, Chery was nominated as a “key market company”, which means to carry out in Chile the relevant drive tests and evaluation process of new products developed by this manufacturer. |
